### `BETTER_AUTH_SECRET`

The `BETTER_AUTH_SECRET` environment variable is used to specify a secret key for authentication purposes. This key should be a long, random string to ensure the security of your application.

```env theme={null}
BETTER_AUTH_SECRET=your-very-secure-secret-key-here
```

<Warning title="Security Tip">
  Keep your `BETTER_AUTH_SECRET` secure and do not share it publicly, as it is used to sign authentication tokens and protect user data.
</Warning>

### `BETTER_AUTH_URL`

```env theme={null}
BETTER_AUTH_URL="http://localhost:3000"
## Configuration Variables
### `DISABLE_SIGNUP`
The `DISABLE_SIGNUP` environment variable is used to disable the signup functionality in your application. Set it to `true` to disable signup, or `false` to allow users to create accounts.
```diff theme={null}

### `API_KEYS_LIMIT`

The `API_KEYS_LIMIT` environment variable is used to specify the maximum number of API keys that can be created for a user. Set it to a positive integer value to enforce this limit.
